This policy explains how PanchayatX handles information when you use our website and application.

Information we process

Depending on your account and features used, we may process account details such as name and email, candidate/Panchayat profile information, assigned voter-list records, operational notes and local grouping changes, payment-verification information such as transaction reference and proof, and basic technical/security information needed to operate and protect the service.

How information is used

We use information to authenticate users, provide assigned voter-list tools, maintain account access, verify payments, provide support, protect the service, troubleshoot issues and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not claim ownership of official voter-list data.

Data sharing

Data may be processed by infrastructure and service providers required to operate PanchayatX, such as hosting, database/authentication and payment services. We do not sell personal data. Payment providers process payment information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Security and access

Access controls are used to restrict account data. Users must protect their credentials and should not share passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs or banking credentials.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security and payment/account records, and meet legal obligations. Where information must be retained after an account-deletion request for fraud prevention, dispute handling, accounting or legal compliance, that information may be retained only for the applicable purpose and period.

Your choices and deletion

You may request deletion of your PanchayatX account and associated personal data. See Account & Data Deletion. Deletion does not alter records maintained independently by government/election authorities.

Children

PanchayatX is a professional election-workflow service and is not intended for children.

Changes

We may update this policy when our service or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
